    Responsibilities

    Job Responsibilities:

     

    Forensics:

    • Perform forensic investigations to determine the cause and origin of damage to residential and commercial buildings. 
    • Research technical publications and literature in support of evaluations, and apply engineering principles and practices in accordance with codes and industry standards.
    • Provide detailed forensic engineering reports outlining cause and origin of damage to clients.
    • Manage multiple projects and assume responsibility for project execution within timeframes.
    • Communicate with administrative staff and clients to provide timelines and project updates on a consistent basis.


    Threshold Inspections:

    • Perform structural threshold inspections involving the following structural elements: CMU, cast-in-place concrete, reinforcing steel, post tension cables, precast/prestress concrete members, and structural steel.
    • Ability to read/understand project plans and specifications.
    • Report data in a complete, timely, and understandable fashion.
    • Complete daily time and labor reports in accordance with company policy.
    • Turn in paperwork everyday attached to work order.
    • Follow all company safety procedures and policies.

    Qualifications

    Required Qualifications:

    • Valid Driver's License
    • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in civil engineering (structural emphasis)
    • E.I. (Engineering Intern)
    • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • One to three years of related engineering experience including one year of forensic engineering experience.
