Universal Engineering Sciences has an opening for a Geotechnical Engineer.

The Geotechnical Engineer is responsible for managing the technical and financial aspects of assigned projects.  They will coordinate drilling, sample/data collection, subcontractor tasks, evaluate data and compile written reports for submittal to clients and regulatory agencies. They will manage engineering projects, coordinate internally and with clients, and write reports. They will perform Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments,  analyze reports, maps, drawings, blueprints, tests, and aerial photographs on soil composition, terrain, hydrological characteristics, and other topographical and geologic data to plan and design projects.  They will use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents/analyses. They will prepare cost estimates, proposals and invoices and ensure they meet project budgets and schedules.



Required Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • At least one year related experience and/or training
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record

Preferred Qualifications: (In addition to those above)

  • Engineer in Training (E.I)
  • Professional Engineer (P.E.)
  • Master’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering
  • V/M/D DOT Geotechnical/Design-Build/Highway work experience required.
