UNIVERSAL ENGINEERING SCIENCES, the largest family-owned geotechnical engineering consulting firm in Florida and one of the largest firms of its kind in the country, is searching for a Business Development Representative for our Space Coast and Treasure Coast market. Primary counties are Indian River and Brevard, and a special emphasis in St. Lucie County. Key markets include Cocoa, Rockledge, Melbourne, and Ft. Pierce. The position will be based in our Ft. Pierce and Rockledge branches

Responsibilities

Summary

The Business Development Representative (BDR) is responsible for achieving the sales and service objectives for Universal Engineering Sciences, Inc. The BDR is responsible for establishing and maintaining a professional business relationship with existing and prospective customers along with growing the business with each customer. The Business Development Representative reports directly to the Vice President of Sales & Marketing and also builds relationships with the Regional Manager, Branch Manager, key customers, and employees.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience REquirments

> The successful candidate will have five (5+) years experience in outside sales.

> Previous sales experience should include an established presence in St. Lucie County.

> Must be able to work out of Ft. pierce office 3 days per week.

> Preferred client experience is in the Engineering field (Geotechnical, Architectural, Civil, Structural).

> Four (4) years of college with a concentration in business is required.

> Experience should include sales training from a certified training organization.

> Must be knowledgeable in all aspects of sales and customer support, and able to read and understand both technical and operational information.

> Excellent communication skills is a must.

 

Compensation

Compensation for this position is a base plus commission program.
